What are cookies?

Cookies are small amounts of data (text files) that the server sends to the browser, which stores them on your device (computer/tablet/phone). The browser then sends this data back to the server each time you visit the same server.
Cookies are simply information that websites transfer to your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They store your preferences when you visit a particular site. This data is only used in aggregate and cookies do not contain personally identifiable information and cannot profile our system or aggregate information from your hard drive.
We use two basic types on our site. Short-term "session cookies" which are only temporary and remain stored on your browser only until you close your browser, and long-term "persistent cookies" which remain stored on your device for much longer or until you manually delete them (the length of time cookies remain on your device depends on the setting of the cookie itself and your browser settings).

Blocking cookies

If we use cookies on our website, you can block them at any time. To do this, you can activate a browser setting that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use a browser setting that blocks all cookies (including essential cookies), you may not be able to access all or parts of our site or be able to use all or some of the features provided through the site.

I can withdraw my consent to cookies

You can withdraw your consent at any time - but it does not affect the lawfulness of processing that takes place before you withdraw your consent.

Cookies management settings in browsers

Common internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge, etc.) support cookie management and allow you to disable cookies in their settings.  Within their settings, you can manually delete, block or completely disable the use of individual cookies. They can also be blocked or allowed only for specific websites. For more detailed information, we have included links to help with the settings in specific browsers.
